Affiliate With Us

To affiliate with us, we'll require an 88x31 image to be placed in the list of button icon down the right hand side of our webpages. We do have a few other requirements though, which means that we generally do not accept new affiliation buttons.

1) Naturally, you must already have our button on your website. you can find the html code for this on your right (above the affilates). There are some acceptions for this, like if you are a site that already offers us some other kind of service, eg Moddb.com hosts a mod profile for us, along with our files... that we control. Just saying you'll host a file for us doesn't mean we'll give you free advertising.

2) We do not accept freshly made websites in the sense that if your website is new, who's to say it'll be still around tomorrow, or a weeks/months time. We do not want dead links on our website and we don't want complaints from our members about dead links. Sites that appear as affiliates will have already been around for a while and have shown they'll remain around for quite some time. This is pretty much a site specific requirement, so we take each website case by case. If your website is purely informative, then being around for a week since founded is no problem, because so long as it's fully working, it'll probably be around for a long time without any changes required. If your website relies on news type items, it'll need updating daily or weekly, depending on the content, and you wouldn't be a good affiliate if your site is inactive for months, therefore we'd need to see that you have some kind of staying power.

3) We DO NOT affilate with forums. If you have a forum on your website, no problem, but affiliates MUST have a website of some description, not just a link to a phpBB (or whatever) forum.

4) 99% of the time, only English websites will be reviewed, as our staff and userbase is english based, so we can't read what your content is like and if it's geared in the right direction for our userbase to see. There are some acceptions to this, as you will see from the French DBSource website that is currently affiliated with us. The breaking of this rule will usually happen in cases related to this mod, as we can easily tell what is what from the imagary and snipets of text on news posts that were based on our own news posts.
