The website has been redesigned and news items are currently in various places, due to the old-old, old and new systems clashing.
Every news item previous to this announcement that appear in the news section of the website is pre-2008.
Every news item that should appear between Jan 2008 and April 2008 (today), should appear in the news section of the Forums. Please use the links on the left to navigate yourself there.
Please also note that the news item previous to this one is about the 0.1.3 release from last december, the current release is 0.1.4 which you can find on our downloads page on your left.

| • DBSource v0.1.3 RELEASED |

If you've not checked the forums already, you may not know that the latest version of DBSource has been released. Sorry for the delay in this noticication on the front page of our website, as Xmas Eve i was on the traditional "Christmas-All-Dayer" down Mansfield town centre, and obviously yesterday was Xmas Day. But today I post up the link's etc for you guys to download the latest release.
This release mainly focus's on "eye-candy", as it improves on textures, adds maps and brings some all new visual effects. The next release (April 2008) will bring more gameplay additions and improvements, as well as bringing more visual improvements and effects to the table. This release also fixes many bugs that plagued the previous versions.
The download links are lower down on this news posting, but while your waiting for the file to download (approx 350mb+) please feel free to vote for us in Moddb's "Mod of the Year". They are currently narrowing down the choices from 100 to 5, and you could help us get into those top 5 by voting here...

If you wish to host more mirrors, please post your links in that thread and the first post will be editted with your link by the next moderator who sees you added it.
The same link to the forums also contains a full changelog of changes in the first post, but here's a few of the more major changes...
* Added mushroom cloud to special attack explosions
* Added smoke effects for small explosions
* Modified a bunch of textures to be brighter and more dbzish
* Added new voicechat features
* Changed hud color schemes and background images
* Can only turbo fly forwards, not on angles or up/down

| • The Release |

Well we had released the mod, however moddb, for some reason, has issues with msi files, which are basically installer files used by microsoft, and what we used to compile the mod. Also the torrent creation packed up half way through for another download location. Again things don't seem to go smoothly during release day for us. Rest assured though that on our next release in April 08 the mod will be complete and ready well before the release date arrives.
Gundy is currently uploading the mod a second time... 357mb isn't easy going, but twice?! This will be ready for download soon, but in my timezone, it's time for sleep, so an update post on the front page will not appear until morning i'm afraid.
If you want to check for download sources, please check the news threads in our forums for release based thread, or our Steam Group's Chatroom, where many fans are already gathered waiting for the game.
NB: the time listed in the event section of the Steam Group is obviously for the Release Party time start.... not the actual release time.
